DESCRIPTION:
Ansonia Clock Co., New York, for Metropolitan Manufacturing Co., "Eclipse" hanging gingerbread clock, 8 day, time and simple calendar, spring driven movement in an oak case.
CONDITION:
The case has a good original finish. The crest has the start of a horizontal split, but is still intact. A glue block is missing behind the crest. The front portion of the molding on the upper left is absent, but does not stand out. The original paper dial is worn on the left side. Pendulum stick is mismatched and probably a replacement. Blued steel spade hands are original. Good rear paper label by Metropolitan. Movement is signed by Ansonia. This model was sold by Ansonia as the "Rio ".
